In most developing economies, air pollution is a real hazard. We are living with the reality of breathing poison. However, an environment friendly and pollution free means of transport still exists... Trams. Trams were first introduced in Kolkata by the British in 1873 with horse drawn cars. Today this means of transport is still used extensively by citizens of the city of Kolkata.
